Special driving rules in Spain:

◾ Traffic laws
Pay attention to the traffic lights at roundabouts in Spain. In many of them, there is a separate traffic light for each quarter of the roundabout, which means that to perform a full turn at the roundabout, you will have to go through four traffic lights.

The Spaniards are particularly strict: If a police officer stops you, you are required to pay a fine immediately, or alternatively, to provide an exact address of family or friend who will agree to pay the fine. In the absence of the ability to meet one  of these two demands  - your vehicle will be Confiscated at that moment  and you will be detained until the fine is paid. Cash payment will entitle you to a 20% discount.

It is recommended to book a car rental in Spain about two months before the flight date, especially during the hot seasons and international holidays when the demand for large vehicles such as minivans for family trips increases.

◾  Toll roads in Spain
In Spain, there is a wide and safe network of roads that make driving easier, note that some of them are toll roads. The fast roads are called Autopista and are marked with an N, fast roads where a toll is collected are called Autopista de Peajes and are marked with the letters AP.

At the entrance to the toll roads, there are payment stations for your convenience, or you can pay with the Via T-box device – which allows you to travel on toll roads without stopping  for payment and the cost of charges through it is lower. There are additional non-toll roads close to the toll roads, know that these roads may be more congested.

Most of the year in Spain you can enjoy warm and sunny weather, especially in the summer months.
